Long before Hollow Earth diagrams, polar openings and subterranean masters, Shambhala already existed in Buddhist tradition as a hidden northern kingdom connected with the Kalachakra teachings and a future cycle of conflict and renewal. Centuries later, Western occultists placed hidden masters there, explorers searched Central Asia for traces of it, and Shambhala began merging with Agartha and the world beneath the surface. When did a sacred kingdom become an underground civilisation?
In The Western Lands, William S. Burroughs describes death as the departure of seven souls: the Secret Name, Energy and Light, the Guardian Angel, the Heart, the Double, the Shadow and finally the Remains. The terminology is Egyptian. The system he builds from it is even stranger.
Ancient Egyptians did not imagine a human being as a body carrying one invisible soul. A person could possess a life force, a mobile manifestation, a heart that remembered, a shadow that could travel, a name that had to survive, and a transformed state that only existed if death was successfully overcome.

The claim erupted in March 2025 around the Khafre SAR Project, led by Filippo Biondi, Corrado Malanga and Armando Mei. They presented reconstructions they said indicated five structures inside or near the base of Khafre’s pyramid, followed by eight enormous cylindrical shafts extending roughly 648 metres downward, apparently wrapped by spiral structures and connected to deeper geometric features. Online retellings rapidly promoted this into an entire underground city.
The Great Sphinx is usually dated to around 2500 BC and associated with Pharaoh Khafre. Its badly weathered enclosure has persuaded some geologists that part of the monument could be older. The interesting question is not whether Atlantis built it, but whether stone can remember a history archaeology has missed.
π appears in its proportions. φ appears too. Multiply its dimensions by 43,200 and Earth enters the picture. Then there is that inconvenient latitude matching the speed of light.
The Great Pyramid does not merely face roughly north. Its entire base was laid out against the geography of the Earth. How its builders established that direction is still debated.
There are names inside it, a 4,500-year-old shipping log connected to it, and radiocarbon dates that broadly fit the accepted chronology. There is also no surviving inscription saying Khufu ordered the Great Pyramid built from scratch. In 2026, someone proposed that the monument could be tens of thousands of years older.
